Declan was a research technician with the Bernt lab (2021-2023) after graduating from Widener University with a degree in biochemistry and a minor in Spanish language (cum laude). His undergraduate research focused on wound response and repair in the embryonic Drosophila central nervous system. Another research interest is cancer, and he successfully transitioned into a lab that studies such a topic.
